Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you share with us.

Effective October 7, 2026

Who we are

BDS Marine Construction builds docks, seawalls, and boat lifts on Marco Island, Florida. This policy explains what information we receive through bdsmarinecontractors.com, through Facebook and Instagram, and by phone or text, and what we do with it. If you have a question about it, call us at (239) 506-3799.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you email or call us, submit a lead form, or otherwise reach out, we receive what you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, property address, and details about your project.

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, we and the services we use may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and actions you take on it. This is collected through server logs, cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

Cookies and advertising

We may use cookies, pixels, and similar tools, including those provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and other advertising and analytics partners. These help us understand how people use our site, measure how well our ads perform, and show our ads to people who may be interested in our services, including people who have visited this site.

These partners may collect information about your activity on this site and combine it with information they hold, under their own privacy policies. You can control this by adjusting your browser's cookie settings, by visiting your Facebook ad preferences, or by using industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Information from Facebook and Instagram

When you message us, comment on one of our posts, or submit one of our lead forms (Instant Forms) on Facebook or Instagram, we receive what you send us. That is typically your name, phone number, email address, and details about your project, along with your public profile name.

We use this information to reply to you, prepare an estimate, and follow up on your project. We handle it the same way as an inquiry from this website, and we never sell it.

Meta, the company that runs Facebook and Instagram, collects its own information when you use its apps. That is governed by Meta's privacy policy, not this one.

Phone calls and text messages

If you call or text us, we keep your phone number and what you tell us so we can respond and follow up on your project. We will not send you marketing text messages unless you have agreed to receive them.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • answer your questions and prepare estimates
  • visit and assess your property when you ask us to
  • carry out, schedule, and keep records of work you hire us for
  • keep in touch about your project
  • run, protect, and improve this website
  • measure and improve our advertising
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers that host this website, deliver email, and provide other tools we rely on.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and Google, as described under Cookies and advertising.
  • Suppliers, subcontractors, and permitting authorities when needed to complete work you hire us for.
  • Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

Where your information is kept

We are a Florida business, and information you send us is generally processed and stored in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you and perform any work you hire us for, and to keep the business records we are required to keep, such as contracts and invoices.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (239) 506-3799 or use the contact page. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time, and you can limit cookies and ad personalization as described under Cookies and advertising.

Data deletion requests

To have us delete information you gave us through this website, Facebook, Instagram, a phone call, or a text message:

  1. Call us at (239) 506-3799, or reach us through our contact page.
  2. Tell us your name and the phone number or email address you used to contact us.
  3. Say that you would like your information deleted.

We will delete your information within 30 days and confirm with you once it is done. The only exception is records the law requires us to keep, such as signed contracts and invoices.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
